The latest RAHB statistics reported that the sales in May 2018 were down close to 30%.
The average price of freehold properties as well as condos declined.
Average house price in Hamilton Ontario stands at $544,400 with 9.3% yearly price increase. However, since April 2017 Hamilton real estate market has regressed strongly.

An area of Hamilton Mountain reported an average sale price for March 2013 of $283,175. A year earlier the average sale price for homes on Hamilton Mountain was $260,250. This is a 8 per cent increase within a year.

West Mountain consists of 2 districts 15 and 16. District 15 with the average sale price of $300,280 and beautiful streets like Scenic Drive is also famous for its nice neighbourhoods like: Mountview, Westcliff, Buchanan or Bonnington. District 16th on the West Mountain has an average sale price of $296,087 and consists of few neighbourhoods and communities:Fessendeen, Gurnett, Gilbert, Gilkson, Falkirk East and West, Kennedy, Gourley, Rolston, Yeloville and Kerningham.
Central Mountain consists of very affordable district 17th which reports average sale price in march 2013 of $205,782 and district 18th with more expensive homes and average sale price of $321,573.
District 17th has many affordable neighbourhoods within its border like: Centremount, Inch Park,houses and real estate on East Mountain in Hamilton Ontario Eastmont, Raleigh, Macassa, Burkhome, Hill Park, Balour. More expensive district 18 on Central Mountain contains neighbourhoods such as:Greeningdon, Bruleville, Thorner, Lawfield, Randall, Rushdale, Crerar, Jerome, Ryckmans Corner, Barnstown, Butler, Elanor.
East Mountain contains districts 25th with the average price of $247,322 and 26th with $333,846. District 25 has 3 neighbourhoods within its boundry: Sunninghill, Hampton Heights and Huntington. District 26th however is bigger in size and contains following neighbourhoods: Berrisfield, Lisgar, Trenholme, Albion Falls, Rymal, Templemead, Broughton East and Quindale.
